John A. Zavislak, 90, of Eighty Four, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025 at Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington.
He was born June 18, 1935 in Ohio, a son of the late Adolph and Anna Julia Jastrzembski Zavislak.
He attended the Chartiers Houston High School and served with the Army Corps of Engineers.
A mechanic all of his working career, Mr. Zavislak worked for multiple local businesses including Lindenwood and Rolling Greens Golf Courses and Ralph Brown Buick in Washington, DC. He also was an ironworker for the former Abex in Houston.
His wife of almost 60 years, Mary Prall Moore Zavislak, passed away February 10, 2023.
Surviving are sons, Mark Zavislak (Jane) and Jeff Zavislak (Becca); grandson, Brent Zavislak; step-grandchildren, Saxon McNinch and Elizabeth Korri NcNinch; step-great-granddaughter, Maisie McNinch and several nieces and nephews.
Also deceased are his sisters, Mary Ann, Catherine, Victoria, Helen Joyce and Barbara, and his best canine friend, Pedro.
A private burial will be held in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
