Anne Winkleblech Obituary

Anne Margaret Barr Winkleblech was born in a farmhouse in November of 1928 the youngest of six children. She passed away February 3, 2026.

She grew up on a farm raising sheep and working hard with the family.

Growing up, Anne went to a one room schoolhouse with her brothers, sisters, and local neighbors, in what is now Mingo Park, where a large portion of the farm was located.

Her high school years were at East Washington High School class of 1946.

She was a member of the Emmanual United Presbyterian Church, and she would always say "I went to church every Sunday." She loved and trusted Jesus and put him in every decision she ever made.

Anne will always be remembered for her fantastic custard pies.

She always enjoyed the outdoors working the land and having family around a brush fire. She kept track of her family and was a world of knowledge of the family history.

She had 97 years of cherished memories here with no regrets and loved unconditionally and always found the good in every situation. Anne was a beautiful soul in this world that will be greatly missed.

Surviving are her sons, Gary Wayne Winkleblech, and Randy Lee Winkleblech; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Deceased are her parents, James Albert and Pearl Sumney Barr; husband, Laird Wilmer "Ike" Winkleblech; son, Barry Lynn Winkleblech; brothers, Howard Barr and Glenn Barr and sisters, Edna Barr Souleret, Edith Barr Lindley, and Dorothy Barr Haines.

Friends are welcome from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, February 8 at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, February 9, 2026, at the Emmanuel United Presbyterian Church, Eighty Four with Pastor Fran Skariot, officiating.
